The Owner Paul Martin, a Long Beach native, really cares about consistency and quality in their offerings. You can taste it and see it in every aspect of their menu.
🚶♂️Walking In: The Oceanside Experience
I parked in Town of Hempstead Field Lot O-3 — free, huge, perfectly placed for restaurant hopping. As if the Bungalow brought the boardwalk from Long Beach, I walked over with anticipation.
The plaza around The Bungalow moves with energy:
Families grabbing groceries
Gym-goers picking up protein
Shoppers drifting between stores
Teens at salons
Parents picking up trays “for the game tonight”
This is Oceanside’s heartbeat — and The Bungalow slots in perfectly.
Then I saw it:
The iconic tiki mask + anchor logo. A Long Beach symbol now welcoming Oceanside.
I walked in hungry. I walked out changed.
🌮 FIRST BITE: THE FISH TACOS (BEFORE WE EVEN GET TO THE WINGS)
The first Bungalow dish I ever had wasn’t wings. It was the Ahi Tuna Tacos — bright, fresh, balanced. Served with perfectly golden brown tortilla chips. Delicious!

Then came the Piña Colada. I’ll say this clearly:
